Galaxy clearly said that your beliefs can impact how you consume things, and that what you consume can affect your politics. "OnePiss" however is so childish that you must be braindead to let such a low tier cmoic affect you in such a way imo.
Considering that because a story is childlish therefore can't influence the mind, implies that if a person think negatively of a story ("childlish") therefore said person will not be influenced by it. This implicates a countertruth not just for One Piece, but multiple types of stories and rethorics or discourses. Hence, the generalization is needed. I'm always very careful with words, I just go beyond.
And since no one but me wants to make an effort and reflect here, I will stop my three lines limit:
This affirmation in itself implies that there are things that will influence your belief and things that won't. But, this is again a missconception as everything influences our belief. The influences can sometimes be subtly positive or negative, meaning affirming a position or countering it. But a story that does not influence in some way a person does not exist. Just like a rethoric.
The question is does this influence create a reactance ? Nah.. It will most likely be very minimal, but a thousand of stories like that and you will see the result.
All this belief relies on the idealist idea that we can avoid the influence of your environment. Which is a false belief.
We can't escape the influence of the environment or a story.
Which is why I said:
You really think you are not influenced by the outside world and you can think "all by yourself" like a big boy/girl?
You see, the problem is not that people can't understand me. The problem is that I jump ahead across so many steps that I consider not relevant to mention - thinking that people will get the logic - that I forgot that people don't think like me and can't follow me. And frankly, this is something that I have had to deal with all my life. Making me pass for a fool, when I was actually explaining them something that they did not even understand themselves.
So you are right in the sense that I risk losing my audience. But it's not because I will ignore what they say, it's because I will consider it and take it too far, to a place that they can't yet reach.
A bit like the logic behind my reasoning about this forum. I jumped too many steps too fast and too loudly and lost you all forever. But this is what it is. This is now sadly something that you will have to learn when it's too late.
