Controversial What sections of One Piece do you consider to be straight up slop?

Imo all of pre-TS was very solid, even the Long Ring Long Land arc (tho I only experienced that one through the anime, which had a lot of filler to flesh it out more).

FMI was the first time that One Piece became slop. The arc was very boring and forgettable, and back then 50 chapters was kinda long for a One Piece arc. Only the last few chapters were good.

The first half of PH was slop. The arc got better when Law joined the action, and became straight up good when Vergo arrived.

Dressosa was pretty enjoyable at most points, despite being kinda slow paced and lasting 100 chapters.

All of Zou was good

All of WCI was good or at least decent, even the wedding cake stuff.

Wano was just straight up garbage and the epitome of slop. Only part I kinda liked was the beginning of Act 3, before it became obvious that the non-M3 SHs were gonna get underwhelming fights and not really amount to much.

Egghead was good until the broadcast, which was slop.

Elbaf has been pretty solid so far. The only part I hate is the Shakky slop

Pre timeskip there aren’t really any “bad” arcs just a small handful of boring/uneventful ones. Nothing particularly offensive though

Return to Sabaody I don’t really rate cause it’s like 3 chapters long

FMI was cheeks for like half of it

Punk Hazard was pretty interesting to me it’s like a combination of the cool setting, cool lovable side characters (Law, Smoker even if he lost 3 times, Tashigi), and a great villain in Vergo (genuinely felt threatening) and technically Caesar

I loved Dressrosa it was just superrrrrrr long. Pacing left a bit to be desired but I feel like a lot of the Strawhats that typically don’t get anything crazy to do were allowed to contribute in this arc. Usopp MVP

Zou was just amazing overall loved the introduction to a new culture, Nekomamushi and Inuarashi, the consequences of Jack’s invasion, perfect setup for WCI

WCI is a top 5 arc in One Piece for me. Sanji was always one of my favorites but WCI made him a top 2 OP character for me. Even excluding Sanji it has arguably my favorite setting in One Piece (Alice in Wonderland-esque), Big Mom is actually a terrifying villain, it’s one of the few times where the Strawhats kinda recognize they’re outmatched and focus on getting in and getting out, Luffy vs Katakuri is an all-time OP fight, etc

Don’t even know how to put how I feel about Wano into words tbh. My opinion on it changes by the day. It’s in such a weird spot for me because there are so many parts that were genuinely fun to read but it very easily has some of the lowest lows in One Piece

Egghead is a really good arc that could’ve been an all timer if Oda spent more time focusing on the important stuff and trimmed the fat. Vegapunk’s speech had some of the worst pacing in One Piece, the traitor plot wasn’t “pointless” but it was unnecessarily dragged out, none of the fights were really fleshed out besides Luffy vs Lucci, and we didn’t get to spend enough time with Shaka imo

Elbaf is shaping up to be among One Piece’s best arcs if Oda can stick the landing. The issue is concluding arcs has been Oda’s worst skill for the last 10-15 years so we’ll have to see how that goes. Almost a perfect arc for me but the first 2-3 chapters in the Lego Kingdom have no reason to exist

Return to Sabaody was fine for the most part
FMI was mediocre although I really enjoyed Fisher Tiger. Can never for the life of me remember if Hody was a good villain but he seemed like an Arlong copy from what I remember, plus his design is shit imo, so yeah this is probably the weakest pre ts arc. Not many good things to it.
Punk Hazard was pretty nice for the most part. Smoker returning, Monet, Law, Caesar and some slight Doffy action at the end made it fairly enjoyable for what it was. Not to mention, Law's speech near the end is one of the best post ts moments.
Downsides to it are just that the poison cloud stuff was boring (I usually find the ticking time bomb plots boring), Vergo is one of the worst villains the series has ever had (he feels more like one of Judge's fodder soldier clones, he needed more personality, power and versatility for a character like him to really work, look at Daz Bones or King for a good comparison), and I hate Kinemon and Momo (especially Kinemon for that dumb ass gag with his split up body). Iirc they also had that axolotl fruit respawn on Punk Hazard just to not revisit it? Or am I thinking of an anime only scene? I dunno
Dressrosa, everyone knows the problems with this one. Too much filler/side characters and the plots with said side characters aren't that interesting or important in the long run. But for what it's worth, most of Doffy's crew is fun and Doffy himself might be in my top 5 OP characters so far, but definitely in my top 2 OP villains (just below Teach). And it's always a treat to see Law, Sabo, Issho, Jesus Burgess and the debut of Gear Fourth.
Zou was okay. Wasn't trying to do much so it didn't do much. Didn't overstay it's welcome or anything, I'm cool with it.
Wano is going to be tough to talk about, between things like us not seeing Zoro visiting Ryuma's grave, Yamato's obsession with Oden (Yamato couldn't at least be a duel wielding swordsman like Oden was? Oda's just lazy nowadays..), Oda baiting us by making us think there'll be a deeper side to Kaido, King being a Lunarian but us not learning anything about the Lunarians and their past (though this may be saved for later which is fine), Jack being a bum in general, etc.
Definitely one of the most problematic arcs in the verse, but I put it above FMI because it still had many good parts.
Egghead was fine until after Kuma punched Saturn, then it just turned into the Gorosei being clowned for a while until Emeth forced them back to Mariejois. I also despise how Lucci did nothing but get whooped when he could have just been replaced by a more relevant character like Smoker if that was all he'd do, and Oda trying to make us sympathize with Kizaru was just awful.

WCI was terrible
> Sanji's character development arc starts with multiple devastating Ls, paired with supremely infuriating cuck bahavior and ends with him baking some cake for meme while cowardly running away
> Pedro, a literal terrorist, assaults a free nation twice and destroys infrastructure and hurts people. Yet he gets celebrated after using a C4 jacket in a suicide mission for political reasona. We seem to like terrorists now. Cool.
> Meme has peak introduction, only to forget her AdvCoC and other haki feats at home later
> Luffy loses but wins against Katakuri
> Meme uses a shitton of plotting only to take Lerma under her control. A nation that could've been taken down entirely by fucking Pekoms in a lowdiff

Oh god I forgot about WCI in my message. I don't even have the energy to type all that out, but obviously it became a train wreck after the Hunger Pangs nonsense.
I will say that it has some of the best characterization in the entire manga, but that's only really for Sanji

Punk Hazard was so hard to get through. I remember feeling elated once Dolflamingo was onscreen and never cared to read the previous chapters after getting out the Psych ward in 2013
