Wouldn't the fact that he could actually effortlessly evade lasers already, prove that it's not a literal thing? He's clearly just saying it's like a laser because it's too fast. King's beak is no where near similar to an actual laser.

It proves speed isn't the issue. If he can dodge laser beams effortlessly and says it's impossible to block something he compares to a laser beam, it simply means it's impossible to block a laser beam, not that's it's too fast to be blocked. Why would a laser beam be too fast to block but not too fast to dodge when it requires even better reaction speed to dodge it?
