I think Kaido's Mom is from the Florian Triangle (Oni on a Sky Island), and the Florian Triangle also is Little Oars Jr.'s birthplace.
Like, look at the name: "Little Oars Jr." Now look at Little Oars Jr.
WHO THE HECK NAMED HIM THIS? Somebody taller than him, right?
I think Newgate found Little Oars Jr. in the Florian Triangle, getting bullied by the big Oni.
Here's more or less how I think it works: Ancient Oni are too big to survive on land/on the open sea without being hunted.
The only places they can survive, are areas like the Florian Triangle, where the natural climate can conceal them. The Ancient Oni use these foggy regions to steal ships to survive.
However, there are also Sky Islands I believe, stuck in the Florian Triangle's general foggy gloom.
During the Ancient Wars described in the Harley, I believe some of the Island Clouds attached to Elbaph detached, possibly from their branches burning/being cut, and drifted off into the world.
This is where I think Kaido came from: an Oni lady (not Giant Sized, more Buccaneer sized, like Kaido), living on a Sky Island that originated from Elbaph centuries ago. Since Oni... can't fly, the Ancient Oni on this Island, who were Giant-sized, began shrinking due to climate/food shortages, until they reached Kaido's size.
Vodka Kingdom is also in the Grand Line; I think Kaido fell/was thrown off a Sky Island, then washed up on Vodka. We don't have 10 years of his childhood, first time we see Kaido, he is age 10 in Vodka.
I could see Harald getting captured by the Ancient Oni, then beating them up and befriending them.
Considering Kaido's... drinking habits, I think his mother was a BOOZE GUZZLER... would not be surprised if Kaido was the result of a one night stand.
Between Harald jumping off the Red Line, and Kaido's history with falling from large distances, and Loki getting flung into the Underworld by Estrid, I think Kaido fell from a Sky Island as a child. Also would fit the theming of Onigashima becoming a floating island briefly.
Excited to get Kaido/Linlin's birth flashbacks eventually when we return to Wano for Pluton.
