Future Events It's possible that we will soon find out which island the Straw Hat crew will visit next after Elbaf

#1
Before returning to the present, it is possible that the flashback does not end six years ago, at the time of Loki's capture by Shanks, but continues until a much more recent period: the moment when Shanks came to Elbaf and visited Loki (just before defeating Eustass Kid).
We know nothing about the content of the discussion between Shanks and Loki, except for one thing: Shanks supposedly revealed to Loki his next destination (which logically means the place where he is currently located).
Luffy wants to free Loki to find out where Shanks is, to see Shanks again.
Since the beginning of the arc, this is actually the only real plot element that drives Luffy to act on Elbaf, to actively get involved in the arc's plot, and not just remain a passive observer of the conflict between the Giants and the Holy Knights.
If this element is also central to the construction of the arc, it is probably because the island where Shanks is located is the place where the next arc after Elbaf will take place. This island would then be the next destination for the Straw Hat crew.
Loki will likely be freed when he returns to the present, after he has finished telling his story, as promised, so he can help in the fight against the Holy Knights.
two scenarios are possible:
The most logical scenario would be that Loki waits until the end of the fights to reveal everything to Luffy about Shanks' location, at the very end of the arc. In that case, the identity of the island where Shanks is located would remain deliberately hidden until that moment.

The other possibility is the one theorized in this post, that the identity of this island is revealed directly at the end of the flashback, during the scene of the recent encounter between Shanks and Loki.

Which island do you think it is?

Great, the message is finally visible!:kata:

I hope it is an Ancient Sky Island considered mythical, and which has an isolated civilization from the Void Century who hasn't made contact with the World Government.

I doubt if next arc would be even SH focus.
I mean ofc they will get focus, but I think oda will clear out all the Cross guild, Law, Kidd, Blackbeard/Garp plot which will lead to Final war all together.

I really don't want to spend an arc away from the Straw Hats considering we're near the end.

Just this past flashback by itself was too damn long without them. I might be one of the only people to say this, but I'm glad God Valley is over.

Sniper Island next arc, prepare yourself for 100 chapters minimum.

A true adventure lies ahead !
While Luffy and BB fight to the death for the PK title in the pocket dimension in which Laugh Tale awaits, Usopp will be the only one from outside the pocket dimension to be able to see the fight thanks to his CoO, and, in a reverse of the Katakuri fight, will be able to snipe BB at a crucial moment, allowing Luffy the winning blow. And from that moment on, whatever strip of land Usopp was stood on when making his little contribution to the Grand Duel for the Pirate King Title will forever be known as Sniper Island.

It’s an original proposal, but why would Shanks go there?

Otherwise, why does everyone seem to think that Gaban has the last Road Poneglyph when it’s obviously not him? He doesn’t match any of the elements in the description of the man with the burn scar.

I think what you’re saying will 100% happen, but in a much less spectacular way. Since the beginning of the Elbaf arc, a third world (heaven) above the branches of the tree has been teased. We know that the second level of Elbaf has a sea of clouds and solid clouds, and in the flashback we see that Yarle’s house is located just below the third world and is built on a cloud (we see this in chapter 1154, page 8). So the heaven is partly a Sky Island. We’ll probably see it as a conclusion at the end of the arc, and there are likely important hidden elements up there.
The explanation of the three worlds of Elbaf is given by Brogy at the end of chapter 1132.

oh i didn't read your post, i think shanks will come back to elbaf at the end, or maybe he is in the heaven realm. elbaf arc began with shanks punishing barto. i think it ends with luffy getting the news that akainu plans to execute barto (and law)

Barto and Law clearly don’t have enough importance to be at the center of an execution arc. If something like that were to happen, it would feel like a bad parody of Ace’s execution. The capture and chaining of Garp already feel a bit like a poor parody of Ace’s capture, so just imagine it with a character as irrelevant as Barto.
It’s not serious

some grandfleet captains attacked charlos, the celestial dragons must have demanded revenge. law is a former warlord that betrayed the wg, has a 3b bounty, is a secret d etc.

Yes, within the story’s universe it could work, but from a storytelling perspective, Oda would never do that, because he already handled the same thing better, and it was called Marineford.
(Charlos’ attack could have consequences, but not to that extent.)

Good point!
I absolutely don't know... but - if there is one - I'm sure there is a hint somewhere in the new world storyline.

:endthis:
So, if I summarize the others’ suggestions, the main options seem to be Marijoa, Lodestar, and Laugh Tale.
Considering that Shanks is after the One Piece and There’s a possible attack carried out by the revolutionaries and Blackbeard's crew happening on Mariejois.

Now that I think about it.. Lodestar would be the logical guess. Narratively it is the one that makes the most sense. At the end of a story, all the information (meaning also all the characters) converge narratively to a single cathartic thematic point. While Lodestar wouldn't play that role, it is the geographic step leading right through it: to Laughtail.

There are now reasons to think the war could begin on Lodestar.
