The dreams are pretty much irrelevant to the plot Oda has in mind at this point, though. Even Luffy´s main dream is a ¨lie¨ in the sense that the PK isn´t really the ¨freest¨ man on the sea necessarily.

If the best argument for Mihawk is being tied to a SH dream well...... that´s not great. The best for Mihawk is probably association with Shanks and ¨navy hunter¨ history
