There’s a very real chance Laugh Tale actually ends up being a fairly long arc even excluding the (potential) fights because we’re guaranteed to get the Void Century flashback and everyone knows that’s gonna be 50 chapters long

I wonder if this means Oda plans on ending Elbaf next year (which was always realistic tbh, how long could the fighting actually last now that it’s begun)

If Oda really wants to speed things up the end of OP might be closer than most thought

Exactly my feelings man, this feels so surreal, I'm trying to process it but my brain is just short-circuiting rapidly. Overloaded lol. I can't believe it's actually happening WTF. And here we were on here and as a fandom expecting a few more years at least or around 7-10 potentially/"realistically" too!

I'm scared for how much is gonna get cut out for Oda to do this, I've been worried of the series ending prematurely/a speedrun type ending like Bleach and I think Fairy Tail got or another series? Oda said he's restructuring the story for the final saga and I suspect he's gonna coalesce everyone and everything into one grand, final and thus the greatest ever war as Kaido wanted and Doflamingo predicted and also as a lot of the fandom expects ofc. Especially with what the mural revealed to us, history will definitely repeat itself there too inevitably/naturally. The 4th ninja war of One Piece truly.

Laugh Tale presumably as Lodestar can still be reached by anyone technically, all paths lead to Rome I mean Lodestar and thus converge there.

All the different paths on the Grand Line ultimately meet at Lodestar Island. According to Inuarashi, travelers who reach the island become aware of the Poneglyphs, the civilization that created them, as well as the hidden final island of Laugh Tale.[1]

Since the Roger Pirates were the first known people to visit Lodestar Island in 800 years, it is implied that reaching it is extremely difficult. Additionally, for some unknown reason, the Log Pose cannot reset and point toward the next island on Lodestar Island and instead the needles will just spin indefinitely.

I expect Lodestar to be a small arc island like Zou, for lore purpose. That's all.
They meet the burned scar man and get the ponelglyph and leave for the final voyage.

I predicted it like,
- Sabaody -> Amazon Lily -> Impel Down -> Marineford
- Egghead -> Elbaf -> Lodestar or CG centric arc involing Impel down because Magallen also has a scar over his face -> Luffy vs Blackbeard or Luffy vs WG (Final war basically).... luffy vs Blackbeard can be done at Epilouge too like Naruto vs Sasuke post Great war.

Yeah to think of it, we get an average of 33 chapters a year or so. I don't think we'll get another Wano length arc again except for the final war and such ofc, but even then I expect a lot of clashes and offscreened fights, that Toei will expand on and add filler for ofc.

If 33 chapters a year still, that means around 200-230ish chapters for 6-7 years....If we only got 3 years left instead, that gives us just shy of a 100 chapters, that can't be enough surely? Maybe 4-5 years left at least?

I was really surprised to see the Gorosei all show up on Egghead and then Imu on Elbaph too (but I suspected Imu may show up on Elbaph to escalate the stakes in the story, as that is one of the only ways Oda could have done after all 5 Gorosei showed up before..)

I've feared with how much of a speedrun Kaido's flashback and Roger's journey to Laugh Tale were, how little we saw, that might become the standard in future and with the way Oda has been handling Kidd and Weevil and even not handling in the case of Urouge at all, I fear he's genuinely writing them out of the story for good to streamline the story and focus on who and what matters most unfortunately or he just took them out of the way temporarily so they can re-emerge for the final war to help Luffy against the WG? But that seems a little optimistic at least at this point, idk.

Oda's messages have been extremely unreliable as you mentioned too, we might need to temper our expectations here but I feel Oda is serious at this point given how much he's said here explicitly and giving such a clear outline of how One Piece is gonna end and how close we are to it.

The pacing and style of writing have been much better in the final saga, you can tell Oda has restructured the story as he said he was going to do and I was surprised we didn't cut away from Elbaph to show Cross Guild, the attack on Mary Geoise, Blackbeard, Shanks etc like Oda did with the mini Koby rescue arc on Beehive during Egghead but I think shit is gonna seriously hit the fan around the world as Elbaph ends. Absolute chaos and peril. Imu is gonna go on a full rampage for sure.
We need an update on York an the mother flame for example and thus is the WG gonna get another shot with their island destroying weapon and which island will get destroyed this time if so?

I've been worried and confused by Oda not showing the heaven world in Elbaph but maybe it will lead to how the SHs will escape Elbaph? They might have to flee or just leave that way anyway for some reason? Idk. I hope Oda is not gonna skip it entirely but I'm getting real worried at this point.

This makes a lot of sense, I could see this happening. A Naruto vs Sasuke battle of Luffy vs Blackbeard at the end, to truly end the series on a pirate note in the ultimate way and the legacy of Joyboy and Nika, Light vs Davy Blackbeard and Darkness, Good vs Evil, Yin and Yang and throwing back to the infamous parallels/contrasts/foils meeting of Luffy and Blackbeard to each other when they first met? Peak fiction.
A true battle between pirates to be the most free man on the seas, inherited wills, legacies etc.

This has to happen in some capacity somehow, just like how Buggy became a Yonko too:

With the burn scar man mentioned and the people meeting, maybe we're gonna get that battle for the 4th Road Poneglyph with the Redhair pirates that some have speculated in the past. imagine 20 chapters god valley flashback just to be followed by 30 chapters of void history flashback. i doubt luffy becomes pirateking before he defeats teach. if luffy finds an island, while blackbeard dominates the new world, most would consider blackbeard the real king of the pirates. strawhats probably get the last road poneglpyh, plan to go to laughtale and then their plans get derailed.
