i think the difference between holly roppo and gorosei is the presence of advanced conquerors haki

From the spoilers it seems CoC coating makes an immortal way more powerful since they can now negate incoming CoC attacks with their own CoC which nullifies the weakness of immortality.

But now we have to wonder why the Gorosei were done so dirty in Egghead because by this logic they should all be close to Harald/Xebec

Basic CoC coating is also enough, no need for an updated version of it.

No it’s based on the timeline, Mihawk and Shanks dueled 12 years before the start of OP.

This flashback is 14 years before the present (so 2 from post time skip + 12 years ago).

So this event is literally in the same year as the Mihawk vs Shanks duel.
