It would make no sense. Even old WB matched shanks' haki. I don't think oda has shanks that much old gen in prime. He is not that insane even if its shanks. I do believe oda will retcon shanks vs loki to something like loki being nerfed or something like that.

Issue with Shanks being above top tiers is that there's no reason for him to try to ambush Blackbeard instead of simply pulling out of on Hachinosu. It would just be bad writing. Shanks's character works better as a high top tier

There's no way I could get 10 but to try:
1.Manda:he had his own attitude and demanded sacrifices from Orochimaru for usage. He was making Kabuto twerk in fear, in the end,he ended up being more of a demon then any tailed beasts lol
2.Kakashis dogs:, obviously a more humble one, but they're generally pretty useful
3. Shingami/Death God: Just ridiculously cool concept of sealing the two people and making them fight forever(slight point off for never seeing it though)
4:Enma: just generally cool
5:The Toads: I don't have a preference, they're all okay, I guess

Danzo and Hanzo have good summons as well, but they don't really do anything/have a personality, so idk.
I wonder why Obito and Madara never had summoning animals, btw?

If we rationalize too much almost all manga/anime had flaws, PIS, people could t have been more, smarter choices, etc etc

Oda was developing his story and his main villain, obviously he wouldnt make Shanks going for the kill and chasing Teach

instead he gave us the great moment with WB and the cloud clash, Banaro island, Teach chasing Luffy and Jaya speech, Shishibukai Teach and Marineford

it did built a great villain

Im ready to sacrifice a little bit of coherence or brain to have all that as a reader

I think you have to make your mind that Shanks couldn’t beat/chase Teach or try to cope with a reasonable excuse

when you’re a teen/kid/young adult and you’re reading OP and you’re reading/watching pre skip for the first time I dont think it matters at all that Shanks didn’t go for Teach himself
