I feel like people forget how exhausted Luffy was in G5 when he fought Kaido. He himself explicitly says that dying exhausted him, and Momo described his VOAT as very weak.

A lot of people treat G5 as far below Kaido because "he had help". But by the time Luffy in G5 fought Kaido and finally reached his level, it was a 1v1.

A lot of this also is probably a result of the Egghead upset I think. Hard for people to see Kizaru as Kaido/Luffy level so they rationalise it as Kaido >>Luffy>= Kizaru ig.

I actually rationalise it as
Kaidou > Kizaru > Luffy.
Extend the battle and even Kizaru would have toppled Luffy.

I don't think it will be as hard as people think if Oda just ease up on the luffy nerf lol .
