Oda should've made her wield two swords like in his drafts and drop the Oden glaze. If anything she should've glazed Ushimaru to a lesser degree as he's one of the three samurai that saved her and he wields two swords in battle.
Her being a swordswoman would also make Wano have more than two sword wielders who are above YC3 level and have ACoC, which it should've had in the first place as it's literally known for it's incredibly strong samurai but only has two notable ones (Oden and Ryuma)

His biggest sin is he made Sakura look competent. This aged poorly given how weak Sakura was.
Good for Sakura at that time but it came at the cost of Sasori in the long run, someone like Kakuzu would fodderize her, backup or not. She can't be a driving factor.
However, at the very least they didn't beat Sasori, he let himself lose. So that saves his portrayal in my eyes.

Tbf, did Sakura really have that many bad showings after fighting Sasori?
She did get one shot by 4 tail Naruto, but most Jonin would also get one shot in that situation (even Lord Yakushi got thrown aside pretty easily by 3 tail Naruto). She got toyed with by Tobi, but so did the rest of the Konoha squad. She one shot one of the Animal Path’s summons in the Pain Invasion and was stuck on med duty for the rest of the arc. She tricked Lee, Kiba, and Sai. She did almost get killed by MS Sasuke, but she was mentally nerfed and MS Sasuke is high Kage level anyways

The day Oda starts ass pulling power-ups out of thin air to the point that Kaido becomes fodder for a Yamato character is the day I stop taking this manga seriously. It would mean that we're reaching the same level of ridiculousness in terms of both plot and power level as in FT or late Naruto.
I dropped FT when Natsu single handled two dragon slayers with power of love like it was nothing, and it proved that it was a good choice, shit was cringe to see.
