He thought with the DF

Harald didn’t know shit, he was even surprised that he was truly immortal and that immortals exist lol. Harald told Loki to get the fruit because that’s the only way someone can even overpower him, the fruit’s reputation revolves around world destruction or raw power. If Loki gets that power then that‘s the best chance that anybody’s got in subduing Harald. That is Harald’s reasoning.
