Tbh I don’t get why people are so against design scaling. I think it’s kinda obvious based on his design alone that Roja wasn’t at his prime yet (even though it’s pretty stupid that he still has room to grow at 39 years old). I mean the dude didn’t even have his mustache yet, which is his most iconic feature

Xebec wasn't defending the entire time, because his CoC barrier was passive.
He literally gets hit clean multiple times on panel and takes minimal damage.
The entire point of the critical mass attack that would leave them unconscious was Roger and Garp realising the only way to break through this passive barrier is to go plus ultra.
Not only is it baseless to assume Xebec took his passive barrier down in the end, it directly contradicts the entire point of the fight's climax.
Debating otherwise is genuine insanity.

You are so fixated on the technicalities of defending vs attacking that you’re missing the point of when Xebec was actively fighting back and when he just stood there and let himself be hit lmfao. Garp and Roger never would have won if Xebec hadn’t just stood there and did nothing. It would have been Harald vs Saint Shanks and Gaban all over again.
