Israeli assessment recently has been that the protests aren't gonna topple the regime, and they did say Israel wasn't fully prepared to defend against possible Iranian retaliation, especially if the USA will be busy defending its own assets in the region.
Its ironic because before the protests, Israel told Iran they won't launch an attack as long as Iran doesn't.

All lie in the premises sadly.. There are no really "logical" human beings. Our biases are strong and our systems are stronger. A voter will probably live their entire life believing that X is an amazing human being when it's the opposite in reality. Not because they are bad or less intelligent, but because they have allowed their own biases to channel the entire rhetorics without failsafes.
Reality is a construct, truth is bendable and history is as solid as a rumor. A crime for us will be a triumph for them.

Oh there’s definitely weird mfs on either side of tha isle/spectrum lol. If it didn’t involve real life people and their literal real lives/futures, this shit would be an extremely valuable and interesting case study into human psychology and tha effect of propaganda and unfettered internet access on human beings and their brains
Because they’re not actually intelligent or compassionate…conservatism is a fundamentally cruel ideology, its main mission is to push society back to an age where those were not valuable traits; you either unquestioningly did as you were told by authority figures or you suffered the consequences. Most politicians currently in power come from a generation that was punished for stepping out of line in any fashion, but instead of breaking the cycle, they decided to make everyone else undergo the same psychological torture that made them the way they are. The real depressing part is how many lemmings we have in the following generations who are happy to continue the pattern of abuse and suffering because they’ve also been taught to accept it; they were brainwashed since they were young into viewing behaviors like kindness and vulnerability as weaknesses, and they determine anything based in fellowship or common courtesy to be “woke” so as to not learn any lessons or grow in a manner that might allow them to work on their crippling insecurities. Honestly, I’d feel a little bad for them if they weren’t, to a fucking man, horrible bullies and slanderous perverts…some people think they can be rehabilitated and brought to the light, but I’ve seen too many of them willfully throw away every chance to be decent human beings to believe any of them are redeemable at this point

That’s exactly what started me down the path to progressivism - my parents watched Fox News incessantly when I was a kid during the first Dubya administration, and I remember them talking about Muslims in the wake of 9/11 and thinking to myself, “This is not the kind of thing someone with empathy would say about other people”…and to your last point, it kills me that the bullies got what they want and egg prices STILL haven’t gone down, we literally have the worst of both worlds and absolute penises like Ravager revel in their own destruction because they just want everyone else to be miserable like them, that’s better in their minds than everyone collectively thriving

He sounds like a hell of a dad, and to be fair, my father has always been supportive and affectionate while pointing my moral compass in the right direction, which is why I felt such a disconnect between the man who taught me how to recognize bigotry and injustice and the pundits with their hateful rhetoric he chose to consume and accept as his own beliefs…he’s largely abandoned those principles in the Donnie era and skews much closer to the middle these days, but so many people (then AND now) seem incapable of admitting they believed in an obvious con and they just keep doubling down instead of being mature and owning their mistakes. Conservatives have pushed anti-intellectualism for the majority of their history, and part of that is avoiding emotional intelligence as well; they aren’t taught self-introspection or encouraged to learn new things that might challenge them and expand their worldview, they’re made to be docile and subservient bootlickers because they’re easier to control and manipulate. Still, the fact that most of them don’t ever accept reality when the rest of us beg with them to do so is what makes me insistent that they shouldn’t be treated with respect either…if you’re handed the opportunity to better yourself and you outright reject it (especially when that rejection has long-term global repercussions), that’s a conscious and unassisted choice and you should be judged for it as a result
