It’s definitely plausible to me now. Flower’s new info is eye-opening and Saka getting checked scum is not a good look for him at all.
I just found it a bit hard to wrap my head around a scum Magic overly extending himself so clearly for his alleged mates when they’re already in a tough position, and bringing more attention to the indies if that’s the case in a world he’s scum.
Surely if he knew Shanks was jinchuriki I’d like to think he would approach things a bit differently especially since he didn’t start by outright pushing for him specifically if you go back and read his initial posts about the indies.
That’s all just testing the waters. He can’t just push out of the blue. But he is pushing the one of us that’s a Jinchuriki. And defended scum. That’s enough reason to off him.
