If Blackbeard has one last room for a df, it’s Imu's and no one else. Maybe Oda is showing that the godknights are bums but still manage to compete against top tiers in order to make BB Pirates even scarier if they are buffed by that fruit. Imagine Pizarro with a godknight buff lol.

Imu is literally a demon and does not have or use devil fruits imo. That is straight up a separate magic system that only they use

It could be, but, I honestly doubt it.
Besides, I'm willing to bet he can also just force demons into his body and conquer them in a way. He did just steal Whitebeard's fruit after all
