All that buildup for what? What did that guy even do in the raid?

Denjiro, Ashura Doji, and Kawamatsu could have been combined into one character. All that Kawamatsu contributed was watching over Hiyori for 7 years, but Denjiro could’ve been doing that from the start. All that Ashura did was steal the Onigashima blueprints (which would’ve made much more sense for Kyoshiro to have done).

Kin’emon was necessary.

Kanjuro and Raizo could’ve been combined into one character. Raizo was totally useless, and Kanjuro’s betrayal would have stung even more if he had been the one that the Minks were protecting.

Only one of the Dukes was really necessary.

Kiku’s only purpose in the story is to serve as a token trans character and to repair Oda’s image after he spent years depicting the Okamas pretty much the worst caricature possible of trans women.

This is the story of Nika, not Loki. Not sure why this needs to be explained. I feel like like explaining to ZKKers in Wano, that Zoro is not the main protagonist.

why wouldn’t it make sense? Loki is a secret character. Power structures work for established world dynamics. Loki was hidden away from those dynamics

we also have 0 idea how Shanks defeated him, as well as hints that Shanks is way stronger than the likes of Kaido

On the nika point, Luffy could be weaker now but eventually become as strong because you know, Loki will be away healing from his injuries until EOS?
