But while it's not quite as important as that, I do think a Void Century flashback could still be the most important flashback in the series, as so many things in this series ultimately revolve around the Void Century in some way. Even in Alabasta we had Crocodile trying to find Pluton.

In terms of relevance to the wider story and the characters then yeah the Void Century flashback would be up there

Let's be honest, Doffy return would ressurect this manga

It would get a ton of attention, few characters are as popular as Doffy, but Oda would likely end up fucking his character, now that it;s been like 11 years. At best it would just be cringe and pointless, with a few cool panels before Doffy becomes irrelevant. At worst he gets totally ruined as part of some bad Imcel plot or whatever

It isn't necessary anyway. Oda has 2 villains who might be better, or pretty much are better then Doffy already, Sakazuki and Blackbeard, and they're still active in the story anyway.
