I don’t really feel tension in HxH either cause the shonen rule applies there too

I never have to worry about Gon, Killua, Kurapika, or Leorio dying

Even the relevant (allied) reoccurring characters are mostly protected. Kite got brought back to life at the end of CA for example

Gon sacrificed his ability to use nen along with basically his life and was brought back in the next arc cause Killua has a magic sister. What am I supposed to feel tense about?

Netero’s death was also expected cause the old strong characters always have a fairly high chance of death

I guess villainous characters are different since their lives actually hang by a thread but that’s the case in most shonen

Yu Yu Hakusho washes all shonen

Nah that's cheating cause they're almost individual short stories. JJBA is super peak though.

Beelzebub was never great to begin with lol, it's good for a fun thoughtless read though. But it's something you can't take seriously at all, it's as shallow as shallow gets.

Haven't read Toriko but judging from a distance and your Beelzebub nomination I heavily doubt it.

I think just about every OG Admiral had one really popular meme at least.

First was Akainu with the HE IS HIM meme, then Kizaru with the agenda meme, then Kuzan with "He is faster and can freeze his opponents" meme.

Interestingly this even matches the order of the C3 in reverse (usually it's Kuzan, Kizaru, Sakazuki).

Other Admirals sadly don't have that much.....well except Fuji with the "This world of men...upon" reaction image.

Toriko is JJK on steroids when it comes to the fights and the hype but the ending was meh.

Its Okay ish since the MC basically A GOD like literally A GOD EOS, but there is the unique cameo of other series in the end tho. It turns out Fire Force is the Prequel of the Anime/Manga that i think lot of people in here is watching it when they are teens
