Exactly thats why we have to do something. After rhe backlash toei got against Sanji on twitter they were obviously shook and made the anime seasonal to 'improve its quality'. We need to have a similar response to Pda directly. Embarass them, hit him where it hurts boycott all media. Boycott the netflix series. Do anything so that he knows his audience is fed up. Honestly someone should hold a sign outside Shueisha's offices in Japan so that the media attention would be crippling.
The direct consequence of making luffy like this means other characters will be ruined like this too just so they could be comparable to him.

How would you prefer him to be written?
I would personally want him to be a bit more thoughtful/reserved, maybe a bit more unwilling to put his friends at risk due to Sabaody/MF trauma.
Not like a total edgelord/angsty type but maybe more serious in some situations, a bit overprotective of his crew maybe and more responsible in general.
And for G5 I would want it to be like a reflection of this, his fruit's awakening gives him the power to be mentally free of all that burden so he goes back to being more eager like pre TS self to reflect that he is strong enough to face the consequences of his actions in that form.
Just some random ideas I had basically. What would your preferred characterisation be for post TS Luffy?

Mainly his approach in situations should require a bit more thought behind them since Ace's death. What Luffy relies on rn to get by is deus ex, he does the dumbest shit, constantly biting off more than he can chew and gets rewarded for it all the time. He's almost just Kidd with plot armour.
At the very least he shouldn't have character regression, what bothers me most about Luffy is he was genuinely more mature in East Blue...how does that even make sense? And I'll never forget how he listened to Oden's entire backstory with such interest, when he wouldn't even do the same for his own crewmate Nami. That was one of his badass character traits just tossed aside. He was almost animalistic, just got by on instincts alone.

This is definitely true, really feels like Oda was setting something up with this but didn't follow through.

And while Luffy's cause is sympathetic Hannyabal is 100% justified and he also ends up being proven right when BB takes advantage of it.
Could've led to something really interesting, maybe even caused Luffy to question his dream of being a pirate after seeing what BB and his bunch were like imo.
