The "fodders hurt them so this character can easily beat them" argument is probably a fallacy in and of itself, though. Jinbe was hurt by Gifters yet he neg diffs Vergo.
Zoro was hurt by fodders in Wano yet he neg diffs Vergo.

Pretty sure Gifters scale above Amazon Lilly fodder, but I don't care enough to look into it. As long as the characters have better durability feats we can overlook it, and Zoro/Jinbei fought stronger characters in Wano. Though Jinbei might struggle against Vergo still.

Even if we're just looking at Punk Hazard, Law still did a lot. He got Monet killed, killed Vergo (Doffy's RHM), destroyed the SAD room, and also delivered a heavy speech afterwards.

Point is Koby obviously isn't portrayed as a weakling who's capped at Amazon Lily fodder level. He just happened to get surprised by fodders like most other characters in verse do.
