It's not. CoC has a curved trail of lightning. This is just impact "lightning" streaks that have been there since pre-TS.

Haki impact lines have existed forever.

Gaban literally said they feel pain proportionally to the amount of damage they take from CoC.

So no CoC means no pain

Aside from the nonsensical haki blast thing, I'll repeat: those scenes are from characters using advCoC. And the visuals are exactly the same as this chapter, as tons of others too.

Have you thought about how Davy Jones could be freed? My idea is that his descendant partly sought the Yami Fruit to free him using the awakened versions of Black Hole and Liberation.

What's interesting is that Davy Jones is believed to be immortal, like Imu, and is said to take in all sunken things. The latter aspect mirrors the concept behind the Yami Yami no Mi. In the deep sea, there's no light; only darkness. The gravity of the depths exerts crushing water pressure, akin to a black hole. Maybe the Yami Yami no Mi is the key to liberating Davy from his cursed fate. Its Awakening could allow Blackbeard to use existing darkness to manifest his Black Hole technique in those depths and then use his Liberation technique to free Davy.

It's actually a really nice touch, that the first time Luffy tried to toss lightning he missed, so this time he adds a scope to aim better.

Obviously Kaido run circles around Sommer's fat ass, and could still probably dodge this, the guy kaido chose to not dodge Bajrang Gun, but still, it's a small thing that really shows how smart Luffy it is when it comes to combat awareness and improving his skills.

Sommer's Fruit has been very well used here, too, IMO. Wonderful arc for Devil Fruit Enjoyers
