Controversial If you knew for a fact it would take 2000 days to see Zoro fight Mihawk would you still be reading by then?

It's close
Probably 4-5 in actuality
Depends when Oda puts it and tbh how things are supposed to unfold.
For example, I don't even know if Oda has plans for an arc dedicated to the foruth RPG and the burned scar man, which Is likely and would add more time.

Then BB before, during or after the WG? And Akainu? Etc.

Depensind on the answer, a lot can change.

Also there'll likely be a pretty long Void Century flashback.

despite retards coping oda writes like toriyama, meaning things will keep escalating from arc to arc, despite odas piss poor handling for example INSTORY the gorosei are a bigger deal than kaido and big mom
So whatever we get after elbaf will even escalate more, and Shanks is heavly tied with elbaph, we getting shanks flashback, shanks biggest feat is tied to elbaph, we have a setup of shanks trying to trackdown BB not once but twice the last arc. Pretty sure he is getting clapped at the end of this arc or in the transation of arcs

Now we add ontop that Mihawk is since creation shanks nuzzling appendix and i think you get the picture

Even if one assume the next arc is laugh tale and the one final war and nothing else 6 years seems to much

For sure. The longest.

Now It's not even only about that, but about the other eras too.

I too think Shanks Is dying shortly :finally:.

But of done separately, 4° RPG + Akainu + BB could take years.

Isn't it more likely Teach kills Shamrock and takes the Cerberus fruit from him
Well, Teach and Shanks are personally related, scar and all.

Then I have Dragon vs Garling, and so Sabo vs Shamrock makes even more sense because:

- the HK were hyped to be a fight for the revs, and Shamrock is HK's leader while Sabo is Rev's chief of staff;
- both are kind of the same figure: "brother of" and the "child"/protegé of the big figure and both have climbed the ranks to be the highest ranking person under them (in Shamrock's case, under the Gorosei rank as a whole);
- last, both are in that double spread (sure, Teach is too so him killing Shamrock would check this as well).

Oda is Oda. Even if it sucks, it’s inevitable that he’ll make a Shanks vs Shamrock fight
and that Blackbeard will end up killing Shanks later

He can fight Shanks, not denying that, but I personally believe he'll kill Shamrock first, take the fruit from his sword, then fight Shanks and unleash the Cerberus (or some innate ability within him, since it's hinted his body and lineage are special and that he has some ability that allows him to do things like eating more than one fruit), and then gains the upperhand through that and nearly kills him until Luffy arrives and stops the final blow like with Law vs Doflamingo:

Sabo COULD fight Shamrock, or maybe Teach even arrives at the last moment to finish off a weakened Shamrock and take his fruit after their fight, but I'm not certain about that.
His flag has 3 heads on it, he already has two fruits and one more would be the perfect addition to his collection, and he almost definitely would get a Mythical Zoan as his third and final fruit since the other two have been some of the most powerful of their respective categories.

My only "problem" whit this is that at this point the cerberus would be a pretty... underwhelming fruit for BB.

I mean, I get the three skulls hint (even though as of now It could mean: Davy Jones, Xebec and him), but one thing would have been if the cerberus fruit was the thing responsible for Teach's ability to eat multiple fruits. A different thing would be Teach having already one of the strongest logias (likely another legendary power etc.), strongest paramecia and then... The cerberus, which Is "only" some middle tier mythical zoan.

I can understand Teach taking Imu's fruit, but the cerberus idk.

I say this because it's either that or he takes Imu's fruit, but I don't believe he'll get any other Mythical Zoan.
The Buddha is very powerful, but I can't really see Sengoku dying, and the Buddha fruit doesn't fit his personality. The other two fruits he has fit him as a person perfectly, and I think Oda's doing it like this because he'll have Teach awaken all 3 of the fruits he gets. So whichever fruit he gets next must be perfect for him both in terms of the abilities it gives him and how it fits his personality.
The Nidhogg fruit would be amazing for him for multiple reasons, especially as it's one of the antithesis fruits to Luffy's fruit, but he can't get it for 2 reasons:
One: He's not an Ancient Giant, and the fruit's full potential can only be seen with an Ancient Giant
Two: Loki is DEFINITELY not dying. Oda already struggles to kill off characters like Law, so him killing Loki just so he can feed his fruit to Teach is never happening.

And any other Mythical Zoan, while fairly powerful, definitely isn't enough for Teach. Orochi's fruit might be pretty good, but even that's not enough, plus I think Shiryu will put that one into his sword.
