Either give us more Knights and let us deal with the fact that there arent enough conqueror users to deal with them, or let Imu at least Domi Reversi someone like Loki so we can at least have an Oars type conflict again with the full crew.

Idk what Oda can do alternatively, because ImuGunko alone aint it, and constantly watching her, Sommers and Killingham just heal on repeat until they lose to Conquerors aint it either, not when they cant even defend against the shit being thrown at them.

Xebec too was wounded, and he, being much stronger, should have been able to retain much more of his free will.

Nah, the fact that Xebec based his plan on using DF's solely is all that we need to know, not everything has to be told directly to the audience. Oda made it pretty clear based on the FB structure

Xebec meets Imu, already knowing about his existence, after seeing him, he leaves and knows he can't do anything-For the rest of the flashback, we see him try getting Harald to eat the Elbaf fruit, not train his haki-We finally see why at GV, and Eris says Xebec was too early to face Imu, with no implication he was lacking in Haki, and even got help- The flashback ends with Loki eating one of the two devil fruits, not achieving a higher level of Haki(he got ACOC sometime offscreen)- and he finally has Imu shook, a contrast to him being completely stoic at the start.

Not everything has to be told directly to us, it's just 2 and 2
