Hello everyone, I'm ThatAverageGuy, it's nice to be here playing with you all.
I'm in the process of catching up to the thread (currently up to page 9) so I thought I'd share a few thoughts on the players I've read up until that point. You all seem like a chatty bunch, so I suspect you'll put out content faster than I can catch up with it. But this is where I'm at right now.
Alexis
At first I thought Alexis' posts sounded a little forced, as if he/she was try-harding a little too much to get reads out there. But the more I read, of them, the more I like. In particular, their post number #31 using "activity excuse" had a feeling of town-paranoia about it, and feels like the sort of tiny micro-read that I would not expect from scum at this early stage in the game. Alexis seems extremely confident in their reads, often declaring somebody town or scum based on their opening post, but I do like that they're taking stances regardless of how thin I think the reasoning may be. They're generating discussion and content. I wouldn't rule out them being scum, but right now I get a town feel from them and I'd be very happy to give them a pass for now to see what they are capable of later.
Bittersweet
I like the humour in telling Naomi that they must "hold each other to the fire", and this to be sounds as if it comes from a town mindset. That being said, depending on how good they are at being scum, it might be an easily fakable thought. I have a *very* thin read that they're probably not scum with Gingerbread, based on how the two of them instantly reacted to Alexis saying "you've never seen me as scum" to Naomi. I did however note that post number #75 gives me a bit of a bad feel, because if I squint in a certain light I could see it being TMI of Naomi = town. This is a player I will be watching throughout the rest of the day phase.
Naomi
I was a little concerned by her post number #52 in which she states she would happily join a wagon on Alexis if somebody starts one. To me this feels a bit disingenuous, because if she truly thought Alexis was scum, why could she not start a wagon herself? I don't know whether this comes from lack of confidence in her read or attempted opportunism - I'm tempted to go with the former, because to actually state that she would join a wagon on Alexis started by somebody else would probably be something scum would not announce in advance. I have a note pertaining to Cryo/Naomi interactions around post #157 that if Cryo is scum then Naomi is town.
Reloaded, Rej, York
These players have posted. That's all I have.
YOHO
The only thing I haven't liked about them so far is that after their entry post, they disappeared until they were voted in post number #89. I'll be watching this player today.
Pot Goblin
I wasn't a big fan of their entrance post of #48 which sounded vaguely LAMIST. I did think their humour in post number #145 was quite sharp and funny. I know humour is a personal thing and often not indicative of a person's alignment, but I give him a light town read right now for making me smile. This is the type of player that I think I could be pocketed by, so I will be treating them with a little extra paranoia.
Gingerbread
As with Goblin, I like their humour in post #64, however, I have a note that if either Gingerbread or Alexis should be revealed as scum, this could be very subtle theatrics between them. I have a very mild feeling they're not paired as scum with Bittersweet, see my entry on Bittersweet above. I noted in their post #152 that they stand up to questioning well. So far I like the vibe this player is giving me, but it's still early days.
Crying bc no Cryo
I get a vague uneasy feeling from this player, and I think it comes from a feeling that they're attempting to control how I view their content in this game. At first they announced they were going to have a plan of pokemon in/out of balls gifs, and then in post number #154 they then announced they had a "game plan" of treating the game like a mash so as to not get invested. I could be jumping at shadows here but so far this player does not give me confidence that they're playing from town alignment.
Juliet
I saved Juliet for last because initially I liked her entry post, and also the fact that (like me) she picked up on a history between Alexis and Naomi and she questioned this in p#58. However, since then my good feelings of her have mostly evaporated. She has a decent amount of thread presence in the game, but almost all of it relates to 'safe' topics and game mech. As an example, post number #80 is just mech talk. Post #108 is game talk, post #122 is more mech talk and post #129 is work talk at (I think) YOHO. She is present in the thread but feels disconnected from game events in a way many of the other players don't, and in hindsight I could see her poking at Alexis/Naomi history as a way to keep those two focused on each other. If Juliet is revealed as scum I would not be surprised to find both Alexis and Naomi revealed as town.

A little about me: I'm a retired mafia player from AnimeBase who only gets dragged out to play in emergencies. I don't post very much, so if you're town and looking for me to volume-clear myself, please don't. And if you're scum looking to push me for not making a massive amount of posts, I also suggest you don't.
I'll try to catch up as much as I can before the end of the day. I have some questions for you if you please:
1. Do we know how many scum there are in this setup?
2. Are there any mechanical actions other than voting/unvoting that I need to format in any specific way?
3. Tips to make playing here faster/easier? I only created my account a couple of hours ago and am still feeling my way around how to use the forum. Tips would be welcome.
