Super Role Madness Pokemon: I choose you!

A lot of people dont believe in Meta which is absolutely hilarious
Meta does exist, but should be applied with caution in my experience. While newer players can often be caught by it, experienced players, or those who are self-aware, are capable of subverting their meta. I think meta reads should always be given on a case by case basis, and regularly exposed to critical evaluation.

But this may be one of those "agree to disagree" posts related to play style that can probably wait until post-game, as I don't think the use (or exclusion of) meta is AI either way, unless it's done to intentionally shade someone.

Meta is how you read people. It is the best way to read people.

Cryo - now that you're actually here in the thread, could you tell me what all this "story" business with York is about? Posting about her 'story' took a significant amount of your attention in the early day, and I just noticed in post 649 you asked again.
Oh back when I was debating on quitting mafia - unironically it was the last Pokémon SRM Fuji hosted - York Prif and I had a lovely conversation that ended up with York promising me a story every mafia game we play together. I assume it was to get me to keep playing / as a thank you for coming out of retirement to play type deal. I was really considering just leaving mafia entirely at that point so idk

it also might not be that huge of a deal on York’s end cuz it was more just like a “well any game we ever play again I’ll be sure to tell you another story”

Cal isn’t the type of player to burn his cred like that. He doesn’t make pushes he couldn’t get away with. He‘s seen Yoho bring up Naomi previous game and Ekko was sus of her, too, so it was an opportunity he could seize. I had my Vig shot submitted on him over it though he doesn’t know that lol and I later changed to Nibel anyway. But generally what you’re saying isn’t true, Charlie.

haven't you ever got fucked by someone who "broke" their meta for the first time
did this to people because I had practically had a trust tell where if I lynched Mafia, I was town. I was that opposed to bussing

Sadly, that meant I could hard bus someone partner and then coast the entire game and win because my internet went down

Meta is only good for determining general scum range and what ppl are capable of doing

like if someone is a certified scrub at mafia then maybe even them showing slight effort is something they couldn’t fake and it means they could be town

but also if someone has historically fooled an entire town before with their performance it means u should be careful tr’ing them and hold them to a higher standard
