I really like the first three episodes despite the flaws but what the actual fuck is happening in Little garden, did all the budget just vanish ? This gotta be the worst CGI and set design I've ever seen in a show. Some of the dialogue is really great but the effects are so bad I can't take it seriously.

The directing is also very bad this season and gets worse with every episode, especially when CGI or fight scenes are involved.

I'm gonna try to watch it entirely, but it's getting hard, and I'm a hardcore One piece fan.
This concerns me the most. Maybe we as fans are more critical. But i cant imagine someone not loving one piece from the start actually thinking wow this i great cinema.

You can actually get the impression that the original Story is awesome, so you maybe switch to the Manga..

Personally i find it cool to spot some great scenes between all these not so great scenes.

Okay Made it to liddle garden.
Episode 1:
- hate that they changed the Ipponmatsu scene where now it's Tashigi that blurts out "it's cursed" instead of Zoro noticing it on his own. And then afterwards neither Matsu nor Tashigi really sold Zoro not getting his arm sliced off.
- the sets are better than in Season 1 and the places look a bit busier
- small easter eggs here and there, like Usopp meeting Daddy Masterson's daughter at the stand where he buys his glasses
- wooden acting all around. Others mentioned the actors have better performances in other projects so I'll blame it on the directing and script.
- Buggy's actor is the stand out once again
- Alvida... dude her sliping around looks like a bad parody of One Piece. They could've added some after effects around her feet to show how smooth and slippery she is now.
- Smoker looks amazing, both costume and power wise. They've shown they can do logia powers now. Though doing Ace next season will be tougher. For Croc they already have a 20 year old blueprint in Sandman from Spider Man 2.
Couldnt agree more

Season 3 needs a scene where Luffy grinds Crocodile face against a fast-moving object like this. After how good Smoker looked, I'm way more excited for to see Ace and Crocodile's logias in this series.

With how the live-action series has been weaving story elements from later arcs into earlier ones, I think Zoro is going explicitly use armament haki during his fight with Mr. 1.

I finished season 2. Overall it was a straight upgrade from season 1 in almost every regard

- arcs were given the time needed to tell their stories and the conclusion in Drum Island was great compared to Arlong Park in S1
- The new additions to the cast all did a great job with special mention to Miss Valentine, Vivi and Mr. 3
- there were some stinky moments with the VFX but where they mattered the most looked good, Smoker's logia and Wapol's munch munch fruit were highlights. Luffy's stretching also looked better than in season 1
- Usopp was the MVP of the Straw Hats this season, his best qualities of pre-TS were at the forefront and his cowardice was endearing. His actor is going to absolutely nail it in Water 7.
- Zoro being a schizo with Mihawk as his tulpa felt in-character
- How Sanji was portrayed when Nami got sick was flat-out better than in the manga.
- Inaki's Luffy felt overly animated in earlier episodes of the season due to weird directing choices but he leveled out by time they got to Drum Island. Keep Luffy like this going forward.
- Zoro vs. the 100 assassins at whiskey peak could've been better
- Some of the costuming felt too much like cosplay and not like natural outfits people would wear in this world, I think it had to do with the textures they used trying to be manga-accurate
- The set designs when they were outside in Drum Island and Little Garden looked pretty bad at points, maybe it's just a thing with filming outside locations vs. indoors.

I give S2 an 8.5/10 whereas S1 was 6.5/10. S2 being as good as it was made the flaws of the S1 more apparent.
