Silhouette Nika vs God of War. Carries a sword and shield.

Sword swallowers: Omg, Nika's a swordsman! Mihawk > Nika.

Waramaki forging his own black blade as a side quest.

Sword swallowers: Nah, he's a fraud, he's a DF merchant who's just carrying a wooden sword!
Btw, Kusanagi (grass cutter) swords, which is what GB is carrying, have a naturally dark tint.

Yes, a grasscuter without sheath. The grass cutters naked blade and handle depicted in your picture have the same width ratio as the handle and blade of Aramaki's sword. Not to mention the hamon and the fact it pierces Aramaki's pants. It's over.
The grass cutter in my image has a naturally dark naked blade,so if GB’s grass cutter also has a naturally dark naked blade like many in real life do, that would explain his sword being drawn dark in the black and white manga without it actually being a Kokuto

Ngl this is hella convoluted
First of all, what does "naturally" dark even mean when talking about forging swords from metals? And not like the pictured sword was even forged but more likely cast, meaning it's likely a mixture of more metals hence the color.

Second, why would Oda draw a blackish blade without it straight up being a Black blade? Makes no sense. Like "yeah, this blade has a blackish hue but only because it's a Naruto cosplay Uchiha Sasuke grass cutter"

Swords in One Piece all look the same in terms of coloring, except if they are clad in Haki.

The cope is getting out of hand.

Admiral fans also said Oda would never feed Xebec to some petty sword agenda, but here we are.
Oda instead chose to feed an admiral to Xebec btw, even more ironic

Sasuke’s grass cutter isn’t even dark steel as well. Lol

Because Oda doesn’t send all day microanalyzing every little detail of the manga for the sake of petty powerscaling aeguments? He probably just imagined GB’s Kusanagi sword having a dark hue since a lot of them do irl, and drew it black instead of white, without even thinking of Black Blades.
