I straight up can't watch it. Every single time I see a clip of it, it flat out looks indistinguishable from AI generated slop; hell some actual AI clips look better. I had to go check out if the clips were real because I thought people were taking the piss. They weren't, it is real. I'm genuinely astonished at how bad it looks.

Every clip I see, the effects look lame, the choreography looks bland, the costumes look tacky and cheap and the special effects look less like CGI and a lot more like AI.

Fred fucking Flintstone made the transition to live action better than One Piece did. This shit is aesthetically repugnant. I genuinely don't understand what people see in this. It looks hideous.

Well now we've answered the question of what DB Evolution would have been if they tapped Toriyama. It looks like it's somewhere between porn parody and Danish cosplay. I don't think the Euro fantasy stuff from like 2003 (think Peter Pan) was necessarily bad because of the budget vs the spirit, but speaking of spirit I can't look at that Godoy face or those weird ass shoes without feeling mocked.

Yeah part of me is really happy to see it's successful and fans like it, but I'm personally horrified.

It's not perfect but it's a competent adaption that in some cases made writing choices I thought were an improvement to the source material even. Mr. 3 and Goldenweek are fucking terrifying in this version.

Some of the action scenes outside of the Zoro stuff were amateurish and Inaki's deliveries in key moments were quite bad, and I personally thought he did just fine in S1.

Majority of the troglodytes comparing this to DB Evolution haven't actually sat down to watch past the first episode or only seen some short clips of the more rougher scenes, and judging solely based on that
