Imo It really is just like SH, Except Luffy and Zoro, They knew or atleast had basic knowledge about what happened in their world, And people who is smart like Robin had the most knowledge of all.

Well that too, but also East Blue Sanji genuinely was not a perv the way he is now, he was more of a romancer/gentlemen type. They didn't even need much toning down from the source material from that time, it's probably Oda remembered what Sanji initially was or is supposed to be.

Soul ability like the malice stricker part of niddhogs myth would be fine, would really hate if his devil fruit is hyped up just to be a big dragon with lightning abilities and that’s it.

Would be cool if he can use lightning for speed and amps when he’s in hybrid form.

I doubt Oda has the creativity to cook up a main esoteric ability though.

Soul abilities have crazy potential, but for now Oda has been unable to use them to the fullest. Particularly for BM, obviously.

I like the enormous black western dragon and I am happy that lightning powers are back into the fold, but I hope there is more to it. And tbh it would be really weird if Oda just gave Nidhogg lightning powers (totally absent in the myth, as far as I know), but then he glossed over the actual lore of Nidhogg. Why? More so because Oda didn't even create a new fruit inspired by Nidhogg: he chose exactly Nidhogg.

Since the eyes are a hint about a power that fits with Nidhogg's actual lore, I hope it's indeed like that.

Sanji died to me on WCI, he can never recover from that. But he's more tolerable than Zoro these days for sure, if I had to pick between the two.
