I think as scum he probably doesn't go for BTAM like that without making sure his logic checks out. I wouldn't bet the game on that but I don't think it's indicative of scum in his case.

The only time I've seen BTAM as scum push a scum mate is when his scum mate was a strong player who could hold their own in a confrontation and the plan they had was to clash early and often to create distance without actually needing to bus. Now I don't think BTAM would *never* bus because I'm sure if the game state etc called for it he would, but he wouldn't go to that as a defacto option if he could help it. I disagree with Hayumi's characterisation of his scum play there, I think it's way off the mark.

In my defense I actually hadn’t read much of any of that initial interaction or build up to the Yoho wagon. If I knew he was the one spearheading things I would have probably not have jumped to that.

I was only responding to Crying’s statement which was Poyser shading him early indicated they would never be paired which without context I wouldn’t agree with lol

For example, someone (Flower?) said to read gingerbread outside of the "clear" that Charlie got on him.

I mean, I assume scum has more counters to Charlie anyway, because it'd be too powerful role otherwise with 4 (or more? shush) shots. Imagine giving town 4 confirmed townies, that'd be too unbalanced, e. g. if you check all potential mislims.

Charlie was hinting before that he has "positive" mech for Jan and then hinted same mech for Polar. Also was asking for refill early. For scum I imagine it could be quite obvious.
