It was hard to say what made you the strongest. This wasn’t some kids’ competition, like footraces or arm wrestling or test grades. According to Skull, the pirate-obsessed nerd, in terms of sheer battle power in a one-on-one fight, Kaido was likely the strongest. If you were sitting around drinking, telling stories and debating the merits, you might conclude that Kaido was the invincible “strongest creature alive,” while Big Mom had the “strongest family in the world,” and Edward Newgate’s very life was that of the “strongest pirate alive.”

I think I'll stop now lol
Wrote about this

Kaido is a monster. He might not have been as great in terms of destructive capability as WB and Roger, but he more than makes up for it in endurance/durability.

There is a reason why Oda kept WB as strongest man, and Kaido as strongest creature 1 v. 1. Whitebeard Pirates could beat any other Yonko group, but in a 1 v. 1 isolated in the middle of nowhere, Kaido would just outlast Whitebeard.
Essentially, Whitebeard was the strongest guy offensively, and the WBPs were the strongest crew. Kaido was strong because he'd simply just outlast, but his destructive power was not at the same level as WB.
