So, an underrated element that is occurring within Elbaph, IMO, is Bonney.
We know that Bonney despises the celestial dragons and the fact that she hasn't done anything yet makes me believe Oda's setting up something big for her.
And what are the gods knights doing here? Kidnapping children and attacking their parents? Using children to blackmail their parent?
This is not a coincidence. These are the reasons Bonney despises the world government.
I believe Bonney has two dedicated enemies here:
Her father, Garling, and the man who killed her mother, Sommers.
Garling lost two women on God's Valley, and as a highly functioning narcissist, the chances he blamed himself are very slim. No, he would blame the people on god valley. The Roger and Rocks Pirates, sure.
And the Buccaneer Hero, Bartholomew Kuma.
The gods knights are weak trash held up by magic. We already saw what happened when these frogs tried to fight the roger pirates. Got packed up every time.
So bully's gonna bully. Is Gargling going to go after Kuma? Nope, his lover, Ginny.
This goes beyond Kuma as well. While best boi saved people with the Power of Paws (reow), Ginny is the entire reason, the god valley incident occurred in the first place due to her sending out the information to pirates. No Ginny? No Rocks and Roger. No stolen Fruits. Garling's raping Shakky.
The one who actually ruined this fraud with a horrible haircut today angod valley, was Ginny.
But, we know Garling wanted Shakky, and keep in mind she lived in the holy land for a year. This leads me to believe that Garling likes feisty women, and is probably the kind of freak that likes breaking them.
Garling most likely loved Ginny as much as he loved Magnolia. Selfish obsessive love. Infatuation rather than love. So I don't think Garling killed Ginny.
Because there's another crazy racist motherfucker on the gods nights who's even worse than Garling, and loves making family's suffer.
Sommers.
I once pushed theories that a god's knight died on god valley, hence the name. After the actual incident, I moved off of this. But I did so erroneously. We did not see the fate of multiple individuals on god valley. We didn't see multipol, god's knights, even fight.
I believe Sommer's has tragic childhood backstory regarding someone he loved, who was not a celestial dragon, being murdered by the CDs, and him craving to destroy other families because of this.
But now, since we have multiple references to the god's knights not being immortal, this makes me believe that Gyaban knows this because of one dying. I think one of the gods knights that died either on god valley or afterwards while challenging the roger pirates, since we know roger was perfectly willing to kill people, what Sommer's family, and he despised Ginny for this as well.
If Sommer's relative died fighting the Roger pirates because he was trying to kidnap Garling's son back, Sommer's would have serious beef ( he looks like he eats serious beef) with Ginny and Garling, and once again, as a highly functioning narcissist would blame them for this. Sommers also wanted to rape Shakky, so, there's added anger.
So?
Sommers is the one who gave Ginny and Bonney Sapphire Scales. He did this to get back at Ginny for God Valley, which ruined his dreams or enslaving Shakky, and potentially killed his family, to fuck with Garling, and to destroy Kuma, a powerful revolutionary.
We know from Saturn that Bonney's Fruit was administered via a serum. I think this is how Sommer's poisoned them: the idea that it took this long for the world government to try to turn a devil fruit into a liquid serum, doesn't sit right with me. It also doesn't explain how Ginny got the Sapphire Scales disease, if the serum was administered into Bonney.
That is unless the serum was forced into Bonney while she was still inside of Ginny's belly.
Sommers learned from Saturn that he planned to experiment with devil fruit powers, by seeing if you could give a child devil fruit powers while they were still in the womb.
Sommers poisoned the serum with sapphire scales, and the rest is tragedy.
So I expect both garling to appear end state that Bonney is his daughter, as well as Sommers to reveal to Bonney that he's the one who gave them sapphire scales.
The interesting thing with garling, is now that he is a gorosei, he would likely have the authority to take Bonney in as his actual child, or at the least a slave.
We know that garling actually cares deeply about his children, but in a twisted way because Imu's powers make people evil, as we saw from Harald. If you're his wife and you're not a celestial dragon, you were in for a very bad time. What if you're his kid? As far as we know, garland just openly loves shanks and shamrock. Obviously, the relationship with shanks as shit now, but he was seriously happy to see his son again.
There's a chance the garling really hated what happened to Bonney, and, now that he has the authority, he does, if he wanted to bring her back to the holy land I think he could do that.
So I could see garland wanting to kill Bonney due to her current status, bring her in as his daughter or slave, and... there's a third option that makes me very uncomfortable that i'm not going to state fully, but you can possibly imagine if you consider just how depraved the celestial dragons are.
While, I want Bonney to join the crew, i could also see her being baby sat by the red haired pirates, because if this theory is correct, shanks is her half brother.
Making Bonney Luffy's aunt... I... guess?
So I could see shanks taking care of her for a little bit, and then her rejoining later.
In terms of this arc, I think we'll see Bonney fight both Garling and Sommers, since her Nika form could fight Saturn fairly evenly.
However, I don't think Sommers is dying here.
Once Garling finds out that Sommers is the cause of Ginny's death, and Bonney's rebellion, he is going to be so fucking pissed.
To garling, Sommers killing Ginny would be like stealing his treasure to him. And look at the amount of problems jewelry Bonney does pause the world government.
Is this theory is correct, ALL OF THAT SHIT, literally the entirety of egghead island, is Sommer's fault.
Sommers will survive Elbaph, then get murdered by Bonney's evil ass blood related but not real father.
We should be getting a lot of Bonney, soon.
