Tbh I'm not sure what defense he's referring to since he didn't have his hands raised to block it using barrier haki (Sentomaru's specific ultimate defense) and there's really no signs of him using haki at all.

All of this despite her not even using her fruit powers at all and it not even being a named attack fwiw.

Idk why people get so fixated on bloodscaling, as if Lolda didn’t draw Katakuri bleeding more from a Base Luffy kick than he did from some G4 hits. It’s not really a consistent unless the character is leaking tons of blood.
