Speculations An old Ratatoskr 's ice can't be melted by a new Ratatoskr

I think it's like Hancock's ability in a sense where if the previous user turned somebody into stone, and then died, the new user of the love fruit wouldn't be able to change them back. They'd stay stone forever.

So by that same logic, if an old Ratatoskr froze the Galley La, then the new Ratatoskr probably can't actually unfreeze them (nobody can!).

Like Yoho said Ragnir is the same one that was there back then lol.

Well, it's the same guys talking here who flood the damn chapter discussions with their echo chamber rhetoric, so I'm not surprised they're not open to ideas. They dickride each other.

It's spirit passed and it left its body dude

You guys are clueless. It's the same thing as dying.

Br0 youre trying to compare designs now? Oda is wildly inconsistent with it.
You're the authority on what Oda does? Oh, it's because you make +500 posts in the chapter discussion. I forgot.

The fact of the matter remains that you are looking at two different creatures. The original Ratatoskr died and left its body to be in the hammer. If it took its original body with it, then it would look the same, but it doesn't. It's a new incarnation of Ratatoskr, and that means it probably can't unlock the ice of its previous incarnation.

It's like if Hancock turned people into statue, died, and then tried to unlock them. Even if it's essentially the same person because they reincarnated, the logic of the ability doesn't recognize their authority over it anymore. It's a new person.

I never claimed I was.

So why did Xebec need Harald and his fruit which means Ragnir by extension and was looking for the Galley La giants?

Now, I am only saying it's a possibility that there is an issue with trying to link the old Ratatoskr with the new one- we have seen problems with this before where someone claimed if they locked something away, the new ability user wouldn't be able to unlock it.

That "rule" could also just simply not apply to Ratatoskr too so you don't have to get worked up. It's possible any version of him can unfreeze stuff, but I'm pointing out that since there are two different creatures then there is the possibility they each have their own authority over the ability.

If that's true, then anything the old Ratatoskr froze centuries ago before it turned into the hammer can't be unfrozen by the new one, now.

Note: It's a good theory, that the Galley La giants were preserved by the original Ratatoskr, but we shouldn't operate on the assumption that just because Xebec wanted the Nika fruit, the Niddhogger fruit, and the Galley La giants, that it means Ragnir froze them. Any number of things could've happened to them, and their resolution may not involve Ragnir at all. It could, but it's not certain yet.

people here are really stupid if they can not understand jarul is talking about zoan devil fruit when he says the spirit of ratatosk passed to ragnir

the concept of objects eating fruits is not known by general people so he describes it in a esoteric way because he does not know how it happened.

The concept is known though.
