That snake summon could have been handled by Gamahro or Gamaken. There really isn’t any reason why Jiraiya wouldn’t be able to defeat it quickly unless he was just fucking around.

Orochimaru escaping from the Leaf after Hiruzen sealed his arms was kinda ridiculous. Jiraiya, Kakashi, or Guy easily could have intercepted the Sound Four. Pretty clear cut case of PIS

It's not like anyone knows that Hiruzen dies, or even what was happening. They just see a barrier and the two are fighting. Orochimaru runs away in the chaos, while the sand is still fighting, iirc.
