In the end this chapter or the past chapter in general prove my point that Oda strongest ability when it come to fights, is when people with devilfruits are fighting..
I know God Valley was just a flashback and Xebec vs Roger&Garp wasn't bad, but the visuals as well as the tension and the skills are on a completely different level in fights with devil fruits than without fruits and just Haki.

It confirms to me that Oda is simply good at using skills and that devil fruits are one of his strengths, best shown in his manga instead of pure Haki users.
I'm also aware that he didn't want to give a lot of spoilers in the God Valley fight, but I'm still very skeptical about Shank's crew, especially because of that.
I think it wasn't bad that Xebec was a swordsman but it was bad how Oda executed it.

At the end, Xebec was known to send powerful shockwaves at his enemies? So like 99% of all swordsmen in One Piece? I mean, he was known for his swordsmanship... so giving Xebec the ability to cut through space would make him quite unique instead of sending some shockwaves.

Something like Yami sure would make Xebec's fighting style more interesting.

Roger is boring due to the same reasons as well.
I know people might hate the "Haki Susanoo" idea but honestly, it's better that Shanks or Prime Roger end up showing these abilities.

Bro can't even research properly.

He says all Asura attack starts with 鬼気 which is incorrect, ONLY ONE attack is called Kiki Kyutoryu: Ashura
Another mistake because researching is too difficult, 鬼気 means ghastly and/or dreadful and not "demon aura"

Me or him? They are all prefaced with 鬼気, including the rooftop one.

This manga is a fucking snoozefest when it's just haki.

My arguments was not they did worse but got flexed on by characters headcanons said they are tiers above them and you didnt debunk it 1 bit
Getting flexed on by high tiers doesn't mean they aren't top tiers who were above any SHP but goofy tho...?

The chicken wings are just in that Marco and Jozu stage where they can put in some work, but they can't win.....

Im Just glad Oda didnt make imu a generic black lightning spammer

I feared the worst when i saw the spear ngl

- Imu's name (イム) can form the kanji for Buddha (仏). It's a title given to those who have escaped the cycle of rebirth & suffering.

- Zoro has several Buddhist-themed attacks, most notably Asura. The meito Enma that Zoro wields is named after the king of hell in JP Buddhism. And Enma's origins are derived from Yama, the Hindu god of death.

- Imu uses "Maki" (魔, or demonic aura) for his Omen attack.

- Zoro uses "Kiki" (鬼, or demon aura) for all his Asura attacks.
Zoro is going to use sanzen sekai (3000 world) next, and Imu will use mu's sekai (nothing world).

IF Imu will be absorbed by Bleeding Beard, I'm calling that will be just temporal thing. IMU is the Final Villain, no matter what will happen and what scheme of BB will be going.
Not sure about that, I make a strong case for Teach here
I‘m just meming around, still think he’s more important than Imu
In the big scale of things, Imu is a new timer who arrived at the stage only 800 years ago
The initial struggle prior to that was concerned with Davy Jones, and as his reincarnation Teach should take a bigger piece of the pie

@Raiden7

鬼気, also VIZ translates it as Demon Aura every time
https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/鬼気

Even if you do not want to translate the literal meaning which is ghastly and take liberty in adapting/translating the word you should consider the meaning of the two kanji composing the word

-> which the kanji meaning is ghost, devil
-> which the kanji meaning is spirit, mind, air, atmosphere, mood

So I don't know how it becomes "demon aura". Viz translation has made mistakes too.

Fenaker knows japanese and he's been barely here for the past few days

No amount of japanese would help the temple this week
The fact that Fenaker became a Kanji expert, just for the Zoro agenda is some next lvl stuff. I wonder what some people could do if they put this much effort into getting a job, Fenaker might be in space by now.
