Tho oda did recently change his role from combatant to master swordsman so technically his overall strength in the crew doesn’t matter at all as long as he stays the strongest swordsman in the crew
So if 10 more characters stronger than Zoro joined he can still be the best at his job like the rest

3. Imu blocked Zoro with his tail
4. Imu sniped Zoro's head
From this position flickering a fire in his palm is going to be quicker than turning his hip to do a kick.
Again, the attack on Zoro is objectively faster.
