I also dont see the issue with it. Its like Shanks being nothing of a pirate until he was called a Yonko, then a PK Crew member, then a Figarland. These revelations add layers to the characters here.

We should be cheering that Mihawk finally seems to be getting some sort of connective lore to the story, especially the endgame. He needs to be relevant to the story outside of a promised fight for Zoro
