Oda can reveal whatever he wants about any character at any point for whatever reason.

Well, it was almost neg diff. The reason why Loki wasn't defeated was that Imu wanted him to submit. Again, maybe full-chapter spoilers will sound different. But right now it seems that Loki was lying on the ground covered in blood, and Imu was yapping the whole chapter, why being sub is actually a good thing LOL

Idk why you and @soupongo are making this so contrived. Shanks wasnt officially confirmed as a Figarland until 20 chapters ago, which was 70 chapters after his father was introduced in the manga. Lets not confuse implication with confirmation (neither the manga nor Film Red directly confirmed anything beforehand), thats literally all we have now again with Mihawk.

If Oda wanted to wait until Imu was revealed to do anything with Mihawk, thats the only answer thats needed. Not sure what else you'd like me to say lol. And I already told you it doesnt have to be his son either.
