The chapter felt really short, as usual... and I still don't like Imu.... but the fight was neat, and I was glad to see severely nerfed Loki tank Imu and fight back! Dude's a powerhouse in his own league, even if Imu doesn't really go all out, he also didn't go all out against chicken wings, and look where it got them.
In that note, happy to see Sanji's intact! Although that black fire burning still might give us some evil Sanji which I don't like, but let's see him get to his senses first.

For Sanji, I guess he is covered in his cape. I don't think those are flames honestly. Seems more like the cape is damaged a little, that's why it has that shape.

I don't. The thing is "Warlords" or "Yonkos" or "Admirals" have a certain standing, regardless of how/when they lose. Gorosei recognized this since Alabasta, when they said replacing Croc is more important than dealing with Shanks/WB.

And Oda has planned the 4 Emperors since the start of OP. There are certain "fixed" bars of power that you can't just brush away as powercreep/inflation or whatever. They are staples of the story.

At some point, when the main cast become too weak and insignificant compared to the main character, then they just don't really matter. Oda's really gonna have to force it to have Sommers and Killingham be a threat again after their portrayal, especially relative to Imu. Like these 2 are at best the wings of Imu's underlings, the Gorosei.
Can't see Sanji and Zoro leave this arc proud of beating those 2 after their big fail here. Even worse for the rest of the crew who just run around and get captured.

Sadly enough, it is mainly because their extreme frontrunner have diverged much harder from reality than the other fandoms…

I don't really like how Oda handles Imu, he's an evil overlord lurking for centuries on Earth, being evil for the sake of being evil, and his Joy Boy fixation at this point is more annoying to me than anything. The design is fine. The fight was dope. But I guess I liked OP more as a chaos and constant fights between marines & pirates, where both sides kinda had a point (freedom vs order), and we had both good pirates and bad marines to make things more interesting. With Imu, Nika, Niddhogg, etc. OP becomes kinda yet another prophecy manga with the chosen one to end it all and bring peace to OP verse. It just doesn't vibe that well with me. But it's a matter of a personal preference.

Hope you're right about Sanji! I am waiting for Sanji vs Killingham rematch and really hope for Sanji unlocking powers that will overcome regen hax.
