General & Others Is anyone excited about One Piece currently?

You might as well drop it now, because that’s literally what this arc has been building toward the entire time.
Elbaf is Nika-piece at its peak
I disagree. From the Narrative stake, the whole Final Saga was just built up for Imu, and this arc should put him in the Final Villain place. Imu has to be recognized as the Monster from the Mural who fought against the whole world. This means Imu has to win this battle.
I think if people really were hyped about One Piece we would be seeing topics flying through the board like it's some kind of golden age for posting. However... Lol
That’a more because the forum is dead rather OP being Dead, Imu was more searched than Kaido at his peak
How would anyone be hyped about Drunkman and Luffy's jail training arc? Also, the fight against Kaido started by fodders cut him like bread. Also, from the narrative point Kaido has to be defeated personally by Luffy, while Imu is not. On the mural, we can see that Joy Boy, with all his allies, fought against Imu, but lost the battle. Which puts the stakes on different levels. It could be that the final battle will be all forces against One Imu. So yes, this is clearly a different battle with an unknown outcome. Luffy can die with Imu, because both of them could have One Fruit.

It’s not

Wano was def exciting
It was the climax of a multi arc saga

Kaido had a banger intro, major fights for the SH anticipated. kid/Law there etc etc

Wano hype meter was very very high

but this is the problèm, high promises and 0 (almost) pay off

Wano was quite bad overall and soured the mood

There is also the fact the world was still quite huge during / before Wano. The SH weren’t a big time crew yet and many mysteries were still hidden. Now we’re close to the endgame, so less mysteries to unfold

Not really. At this point, I am only really excited about D.Gray Man, though World Trigger and Akagami no Shirayukihime also get me reasonably interested when a new chapter drops. One Piece... I don't dislike it per se, and there are interesting things, but it is honestly feeling kinda sloggish right now.

If it weren't for Loki and his story, I probably wouldn't be reading it right now, most likely.

At Wano there was tension. Protagonists being defeated.

The fact this is post Wano is what takes the tension away I guess. Wano was so bad it make post arcs worse than it should be.
I disagree. I dropped One Piece in Wano.
The only moment of tension, the defeat of MC was lost because of everything that happened after that:
1. Jail training didn't make any sence. Queen was able to kill Luffy in kairoseki cuffs;
2. O-Lin - is just the worst thing that ever happened in One Piece;
3. Defeat by Kaido wasn't the end, because Kaido was just one of 4 emperors. So the stakes wasn't even hight that time;
4. Wano arc as a whole makes zero sense, because Kaido was able to deal with all SH much earlier - this is what Imu is doing, which made Imu already a bigger treat that Kaido was, and not just from power lvl, but from his actions: he used Gunko as his vessal, than he teleported here himself, because he wanted to deal with SH once and for all;
5. The fight against Kaido started with Tension over 1000 and then dropped to tension -5000 because Scabards was cutting him like a bread, while before he was shown to be invincible.
6. Roof Piece was the moment that killed the last piece of tension because Luffy in base was able to stand against Kaido. After that moment, any unpredictable ending of the fight was impossible.

True, D.Gray Man is a goated legend series, especially right now when we are getting closer to Three Days of Darkness arc;

People were never honestly that excited about One Piece at all through the entire story to be honest.

I've had people tell me directly that they have never liked the story and they are here for the community instead.

Generally, people are like "I prefer the dark mysterious badasses in stories that's who I related with" when I ask them if they like Luffy they say no.
This is a generalization and you are only talking about one demographic. One Piece is not a story about badass characters. It has them in it, and it’s mostly a silly maximalist adventure story. I don’t know why they even read it if they claim this but to each their own.
