While we know practically nothing yet, i must say i am surprised that 1182 is a lore chapter - many people assumed that the ending of the last chapter ("Isn't that right Joy Boy?") indicated the imminent appearance of Luffy - but now it looks like Loki vs Imu will still take place in this chapter as well.

Except we are in the final saga so destroying the world is the next step.

None of these people wanted to destroy it for the sake of destruction?
Croc wanted to force Alabasta into becoming a pirate nation so he can take Pluton without anyone realizing his role in it

Doflamingo wanted to control Dressrosa as its King

Kaido wanted to do the same as Crocodile.

Plenty of ways to make Luffy want to defeat you without using the easiest reason. And people are dying Imu literally nuked Lulusia for example and is raising the sea levels.
