The thing is each character has a distinct touch to their voice while still being recognizable. Mark of an elite voice actor where he can keep his signature voice but a different tone which creates enough of a distinction. Like Kuzan and Dio.

There's no particular reason for him to fight Kuzan as opposed to just any other pirate. Kuzan obviously does some shit now, but he's not particularly in the most dangerous to the public or anything. You might as well pair Loby up with Crocodile or something.

I would say he could fight Edo Tensei Vergo, but Vergo is>Koby
