@ZenZu i also caught you talking shit about enjoying colorspreads
Mega L take

The art is literarly i would argue, depending on the reader even more, half of the enjoyment of the medium and why Kubo with 1 hand at his back clears literal 90% of mangakas

Bro don't go out sad like this.

Please tell me you don't get excited seeing these cuckhat colour spreads 😭

JJK battle choreography is really one of the best I've seen so far. It's a very good battle shonen anime/manga if you just like the action scenes but more than half of its characters are simply not that enjoyable to watch imo. Bleach doesn't have this issue.

But Bleach definitely competes in that battle part; there's also a lot of hax abilities being involved.
I actually like JKk characters. There is nothing deep about them with some exceptions, but I like their simplicity, JKK is a battle manga so they're good enough for that genra I guess. Still the series had so much potential and it could have easily been the new Naruto of this generation but the author opted to ride the adrenaline train and finish early.

Bleach is a better story with better world building and characters. The fights are good too with a variety of abilities, though they end up mostly straightforward and DBesque with no strategy unlike JKk and HxH, with the exception of very few like the Mayuri fights.

I do agree human characters in Bleach are rather meh and Shinigami hard carry, but I also find it funny that Hitsugaya is one of the most popular characters overall (well, at least in Japan) who, according to me at least, is even more boring than Uryu / Chad.

Does an Uryu fan even exist on this planet?
He was 15th in the last poll. Gin was 16th btw.
:risisure:

It's a good thing JJK is carried by Mappa. I even appreciate that.

People see how good animations really look like if studios don't always outsource their episodes to some cheap studios abroad. Pierrot really did this crap a lot with Naruto. Heck, these fuckers did this IN THE FINAL WAR. Hashirama vs Madara? Looked like paint.

Tokyo Ghoul even took it worse. What the hell was the TG:re anime in terms of animations? The characters didn't even look similar in comparison to the manga. The art style was so off...

At least with animes like JJK, it forces these studios to put more efforts into their episodes. That's another reason why Toei started going for very fluid animations as well in One Piece. Prior to that? We got Dressrosa and WCI...
Gotta admit Demon Slayer and JJK probably did play a huge part in elevating the standards for animation in shonen adaptations. Battle stuff at least, stuff like Haikyuu already looked good most of the time.
