The scene heavily implies he is
I've been trying to double click on it to enlarge it, or right click to see it as an image, but I'm not having much luck.

Anyhoo, it also does seem odd why both of them were turned into devils, only to fight eachother. I guess we'll have to wait next week to see if his corpse returns to normal *and* get a bit more clarification on what occurred.

But it definitely seems deliberately vague.

Exactly. Oda could not be much more on the nose than here. It's literally the Brogy Dory situation but this time only one got chop

@Shiroyru Now, my guess? I would surmise Shuri overpowered and killed him so throughly that he died instantly. More like what happened with Xebec's family then the giants, which we should note, both instances were were they were transformed via a proxy of Imu and not the Pentagram thing he did with the Giants. So that could mean there are two distinct ways and the first one is inferior.

I guess we'll see if his corpse returns to normal next chapter if that hunch is true or not.

It's also important to note that Oda could've have just put a dead NORMAL prince on the floor. But he went all the way to draw the wings while being seemingly dead.
Now, all things said, it would have made things A LOT clearer if the technique where he had them sucked into a portal and spat out as a devil just be Domi Reversi and the thing where he transforms people with tendrils be called something else.

So, that one is admittedly on Oda.

Also wondering if the song is right in the translation. Seems to me like a good opportunity to write a "leave me alone" song. Instead of "get off my back" (in french) and "leave them be" here (on what is seemingly an horrible translation).

We will see. There might be an explanation for all of this.

Admiral fans making fun of Teenage HKs not being strong is some clown shit. An older Kuzan was literally begging Garp to teach him Haki

and does anyone reallly think young Kizaru or Fujitora would be some naturak born monster?
Only way you end up that strong as a teenager is:

1. Winning the genetic lottery (Loki, Kaido, Linlin)
2. Being forced to trained at a young age (Garp throwing Luffy in the jungle, Oden)
3. Having a ridiculous Will to challenge the current system (Koby, Roger, Garp, Dragon).

Honestly, now that I think about it, Garp's ridiculous treatment of Luffy probably entirely stems from him thinking he wasn't hard enough on Dragon.

If you don't have one of those three factors, you're not making it into the top tiers until you're in your 30s, at the least. This is consistent with most characters.

Even Newgate wasn't a true Top Tier on God Valley, yet, and he was, what, in his mid 30s?

People looking for powerscaling in a chapter where there is absolutely nothing to powerscale is FUCKING HILARIOUS, it's like trying to make Baked Alaska out of a rabbit and a shoestring.
