Why have some random HKs sailing around with the RP though? Why not just put it in the Room of Flowers?
I think he went rogue, like I said, Shiryu telling us that the government has the RP would be a red herring. They're sailing and keeping a low profile because they can't return to Mariejois(now Imu should be able to control people with their seals, but we don't necessarily know the nuances of that)

@soupongo Does Admiral fans wanting this obvious HK to actually be an Admiral kinda expose that Admiral fans secretly believe the HKs have aura?

It would explain why Admiral fans exude so much lil bro energy when talking about HKs
If this was Jiaga, he'd be kind of a disgrace to admirals ngl. A shiryu like design, and this like.....weird dishonorable conduct? I guess Kizaru did kill Vegapunk, so an admiral killing a rebellious civilian leader isn't... too crazy? But it feels weird to mobilize an admiral for this in specific.
"let's recruit child soldiers for Imcel", is not Sakazuki approved marine behavior. maybe this is why Jiaga lost so hard, the Kong era was just glorified VA's.

We learned in the Harald flashback that HKs can’t resist Imu’s control though

I wanted to vote for previous Holy Knight commander before Garling, but since i think he will appear again i couldn't pick that option..
And the man marked by flames at this point is just Gaban, i'm not really expecting a big reveal out of this..

If we're going to say Shiryu's father, then why not have Don Krieg's father too..

Still that's not Mars on the left..

It's Shiryu.

My speculation is that he was a Holy Knight under Imu.
When he met Teach he said "I've been waiting for someone like you."

Teach used Yami-Yami to nullify the effects of Imu's abilities and successfully removed him being Imu's underling.
Shiryu didn't die because his life force didn't go back to Imu.

Okay, so....you know Brook is currently 90, and this flashback was before he was 30, so whoever this guy, he already looks older, and probably would be around 100, right?

And it's only Gunko thus far who has the Gorosei immortality amongst the HK. So why would Shiryu be demoted to Impel Down but still be immortal?

His outfit is clearly Marine themed

It's possible he's the Admiral that Xebec killed, the timeline matches and it makes sense for an Admiral to accompany a Gorosei.
Not really.

If anything, he's dreassed way more similarily to Shamrock or Super Sommers:

They even have the same 700-esque style, with the same "foulard" at the neck. Which btw even Shanks had:

And the waistcoat It's straight up the same. I man literally. And Super Sommers too:

Not to mention the WG symbol this dude is carrying.

Who are you seeing saying It?

I would have nothing against an Admiral protecting Mars, but this dude is clearly an HK or anyway a WG official.

You are completely right. Vice Admiral Doberman is one of the few Marines to break the dress code, famously wearing a distinctive red Marine coat (draped like a cape) when he was first introduced.
However, his uniform caused quite a stir in the One Piece community, and Eiichiro Oda eventually changed it to the standard white coat during the later part of the Summit War of Marineford.
