Anyways, Sanji's has always had kingly qualities (mofo is even bloody royalty to boot). I think it has always been a question of whether he decided to embrace it or not coz he very vehemently rejects his royal lineage so from that perspective I think this whole CoC ting is an interesting plotline as it'd be interesting to see what kind of Conqueror/King Oda makes Sanji to be.
It's also interesting that Oda puts Luffy in this equation coz Sanji has a tendency to restrict himself as a result of certain values he holds and is not simply driven by the desire to be strong for the sake of it so for him to get over that wall he's set up in his mind it needs to be for somone else and not necessarily himself. Kinda reminds me of the scene on Wano where Sanji had to chose whether to become an emptionless super soldier for Luffy. Oda seems to once again be presenting Sanji with another conflict to make him grow with Luffy as the catalyst basically asking him to embrace the concept of King he's always detested till now, but at the end of the day what kind of King you become is ultimately up to you so reckon that's prolly the direction Oda is gonna take this.
The sanji speed debate never made sense to me. Dudes speed only looks impressive because he literally fights slower opponents.
Its not reaction nor movement speed that sanji has over zoro. They are both either equal or zoro has the slight edge in those departments. What sanji has over zoro is better mobility and as a result he has more agility. But cats confuse that with reaction and movement speed

But essentially, we've gone from "Gaban is irrelevant and won't show up" to "Gaban doesn't have CoC, he's an armament merchant" to "Sanji won't have CoC and Gaban told him in his face" to "Okay, Sanji is going to have CoC but it's totally not a big deal because to unlock it he has to be less like Sanji"
come back in a year or two and it'll be "Okay Sanji has AdCoC and has feats right up there with the top tiers in the entire universe, but it doesn't matter because he was actually subconsciouslly using future sight when he saw his barber and grew out his hair covering one of his eyes- which was him doing a worse imitation of the Zoro forbidden one-eye sharingan technique Mihawk gave him during the timeskip"
