With how big the gap is and with the narrative setting up Imu to be an antagonist that has to be dealt with later he can’t really “win” anyway

That’s fair, it’s just getting weird for Luffy to not have one for two arcs straight now. It’s like Luffy going to WCI and him not fighting Katakuri just dropping the castle on big mom and leaving.
