If only ODA would spare us from G5 antics and make Serious Luffy as next powerup, One piece would be great again.

I prefer Oda giving us G5 antics but give the power real fatality effects and permanent consequences to the enemy.

Imo one of the worst things from G5 is that the opponents being skewed and transformed cartoonishly has no real effect / consequences, so it's doing nothing in combat and powerscaling meaning.

Imagine if Oda giving real and permanent effect to Luffy's opponents attacked by G5. Luffy turning Kizaru and Saturn into a pizza form? Kizaru can't transform into human or light anymore since the pizza transformation override both his human physics and Pika2 physics, he can't walk normally since his body and legs are flattened, his bones organs crushed into paste since he really flattened into pizza. Saturn will have all his spider limbs crushed, his head popping like balloon, killing him instantly etc.

So Luffy view G5 as playing around with toon, but the transformation gives real and eldritch effects to his opponents. That'd make it much better and real powerscaling-wise...but OP will turn into Berserk lol
